Narrative Reel

When I was a kid I remember watching Dial 'M' for Murder; as the characters would slowly peer around corners I would find myself leaning in my seat, trying to see who's there or what's coming. I thought, "I want to make people lean in their seats, bite their fingernails, jump and cheer and gasp and get completely wrapped up in the story too!" I make films because what else am I supposed to do, just watch them?
